I drew this many years ago, probably after reading too many Dr Seuss books. I still like the expressions on the man yelling, and the monster being yelled at.This is a digitally recolored version of a watercolor (“Unarmed Truth”) that better captures the dark menace I was aiming for, like Goya’s Black Paintings, but I feel something important is lost through these techniques.The original “Unarmed Truth,” which expresses just how frightening it can be to express what you believe in a hostile environment.Me playing the trumpet.
